Terms of use
Updated Oct 27, 2026
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and DoorRaise, Inc. ("we") about DoorWalk: the app, its pages and its contractor links. By using DoorWalk you agree to them. Our privacy policy says how we handle your data.
Who can use DoorWalk
You must be 18 or older and able to make a contract. If you use DoorWalk for a company, you confirm you may agree to these terms for it.
DoorWalk helps you walk, price and plan a property. It does not offer investments. Raising money on DoorRaise's investing platform at doorraise.com is covered by that platform's own terms.
Your account
You sign in with a link or 6-digit code sent to your email, or with Google. Keep your email account safe: you are responsible for what is done with your DoorWalk account. One account is for one person. People you invite to walk use their own accounts, and you can remove them at any time.
Using DoorWalk fairly
- Walk and photograph only properties you have permission to enter.
- Keep people, papers and personal belongings out of photos as much as you can.
- Upload only content you have the right to use, such as seller documents you received for the deal.
- Do not upload anything illegal or harmful, or other people's private details the deal does not need.
- Do not get around plan or AI limits, for example with several accounts or automated requests.
- Do not probe, attack, overload, copy or take apart the service, or reach data that is not yours.
- Use contractor and walker links only for what they were sent for.
To keep DoorWalk fair and its costs in check, we limit how many AI requests one person and one network can make in a short time, and how much AI runs each day for everyone together. When a limit is reached, the app asks you to wait a minute or says AI features are paused until the limit resets. You can still add findings by hand. Contractor links have request limits too. Each plan's monthly limits are on Plans.
Estimates are estimates
DoorWalk's findings, costs, reports, concept images and deal numbers are estimates to help you plan. They are not a professional inspection, appraisal, engineering report or survey. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and they do not promise any result.
- The AI suggests what needs fixing from your photos and notes. You confirm or change every finding.
- Prices come from DoorWalk's cost table by region, shown as a range with a confidence level. The AI never sets a price.
- The deal model is a projection from the inputs, not a forecast, appraisal or offer of securities. Its math runs in code from your numbers and labeled defaults. Wrong inputs give wrong results.
- Concept images are AI pictures marked "AI CONCEPT". They are not a design or a promise of how the work will look.
- The seller report states conditions and costs. It is not a legal claim.
Before you buy, borrow or sign anything, use licensed inspectors, contractors and advisors. The decisions you make are yours.
Contractor bids
A bid is between the owner and the contractor. DoorWalk is not a party to it. We do not check, license, insure or recommend contractors, and we do not guarantee any price or work. A bid is the contractor's own number.
If you are a contractor using a link, you agree to use it only to price that request, and these terms apply to you. The owner sees everything you send.
Plans and payment
DoorWalk has three plans: Free, DoorWalk Pro at $20 a month and DoorWalk Team at $100 a month. What each includes is on Plans. Properties that become DoorRaise deals are unlimited on every plan.
- Paid plans are billed monthly by DoorRaise, Inc. through Stripe, and renew each month until you cancel.
- Cancel any time with "Manage billing" on Plans. If that is not available yet, email support@doorraise.com. Your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, then moves to Free.
- We do not refund part of a month. If two paid plans are started by mistake at the same time, the newer one is refunded in full and cancelled by itself.
- If a payment fails, your plan keeps working while Stripe tries your card again. If it still cannot be paid, your account moves to Free.
- Deleting your account ends a paid plan at once, with no refund for the rest of the month.
- Moving to Free never deletes your data. Free limits apply to what you add after that.
- If a price changes, we tell you before you are charged the new price.
If you think a charge is wrong, email support@doorraise.com first and we will look at it.
Your content
You own the photos, notes, documents and numbers you add. You let DoorRaise, Inc. store, copy, process and show them, and send them to the companies named in our privacy policy, only to run DoorWalk for you and the people you share with. This ends when you delete the content or your account. You confirm you have the right to add what you add.
The app, its cost table, design and words belong to DoorRaise, Inc. You may use the reports and downloads DoorWalk makes for you for your own deals, and share them with sellers, lenders and partners. If you send us ideas, we may use them freely.
Availability
We work to keep DoorWalk running, but it may sometimes be slow or down, and we may add, change or remove features. DoorWalk saves your work on the device when you have no signal and uploads it later. Keep a download of anything important.
No warranty
DoorWalk is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it, including that it is accurate, fits a purpose or is always available.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, DoorRaise, Inc. is not liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost profits or a deal decision. Our total liability for any claim about DoorWalk is limited to the greater of what you paid for DoorWalk in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Some places do not allow these limits. There, they apply as far as the law allows.
Ending
You can stop using DoorWalk and delete your account at any time. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is not paid for. When we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to download your data. Parts of these terms that by their nature should last, such as the limits on liability, keep applying.
Law and disputes
Please email us first: most problems can be solved that way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, where DoorRaise, Inc. is organized. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Delaware, unless the law where you live gives you a right you cannot give up.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to you, we tell you in the app or by email. Using DoorWalk after that means you accept the new terms.
